i wanted to draw something about
thor being stolen by laufey as a babe, instead of loki by odin. taken to use as barter in later life. and he’s raised as a jotun prince, by loki’s side (laufey keeps his true appearance hidden with magic, and his aesir blood keeps him warm enough on jotunheim). laufey never hides his contempt for the boy, and once he is old enough to realise he will never develop magic of his own, the giants avoid him with a certain distaste.
thor focuses on becoming a warrior, and loki crafts him a weapon from ice that can never be shattered. he needs no protector, a powerful young sorcerer, but allows thor to appoint himself loki’s knight anyway, because loki likes his brother’s company and his adoration, and likes thor to have a place by his side.
uh so that is what i drew.
It’ll never reach there anyway… so i have nothing to worry about

Five Favourite Actors: Anthony Hopkins [1/5]I think you have to be sure every time you get out of bed to be grateful for another day. There are no guarantees. I used to have a fear of failure when I was young. You can’t live with that. Nor can you live with an insatiable desire for success because that’s just as bad and as crippling. That’s toxic. I may have won an Oscar and been knighted, but I still have to look in the shaving mirror in the morning and see the same old face there. So it doesn’t change your life that much.
It looks like Tom is about to fucking cry.
If he was touched, it’s kinda understandable.
I mean, think about it. He is cast as a villain. Sure, it’s a fun role (especially since it’s such a multifaceted, complicated character). He might make a name for himself in the world if you’re lucky, but really, what other expectations did he have?
The film’s protagonist is attractive (in the very masculine, classic sense), strong—the person everyone will root for.
I can believe it if Tom never thought that his character—the bad guy—would become not only the most popular character in the Thor series, but possibly one of the most popular characters in the entire MCU. (Honestly, I think only RDJ’s Tony Stark might have him beat.)
And it just hit him, in this moment, how much people love the work he’s done. It’s overwhelming. I’m happy for him.
Also, let’s be real. He’s a sweetheart, and kind of cries a lot. LOL. (In an adorable way, of course)
