I love the stars.” Sge said.
“They are indeed wondrous,” he replied, not tearing his gaze away from the sky.
Divine came back with a pair of nice black shoes that, while shiny, weren’t shiny enough to look like dance shoes. They held a sheen fashionable enough for more casual wear.
She looked at the clothes Loki held. “Oh, what you got there?”
She inspected them, and noticed that Loki looked a bit troubled. Maybe he just wasn’t feeling them. Then Divine thought for a moment.
“Hm, now these look great, but maybe we could tweak this a bit. May I?,” she asked, as she gently took the pair of formal pants Loki had and set them aside. She went over to the jeans section and glancing over at the tops in Loki’s hand, she searched the jeans rack and found a pair if jeans that were form fitting but not too tight, and had a light pleat in the middle. They were also not faded very much except for on the edges, and had a nice dark blue color.
“See these Lok’?” she held up the jeans for Loki to see. “I think you might like these once you put ‘em on. See, with this vest they’d go great. You could look formal slash casual, and totally work it. Also this white shirt here, you could roll the sleeves up. You’d have a great look.”
Loki watched with furrowed brows as she pulled out different garments and put together an outfit. When she had finished, he sighed, staring at the combination— perhaps it wouldn’t be too terrible.
“I suppose I could attempt to tolerate this,” he murmured, scratching his chin briefly. “I do have to see how they look first…”
Divine nodded, then looked around to see if there were any dressing rooms near by. There were, and she looked at Loki and motioned for him to follow her.
“C’mon Loki, these are the dressing rooms. You can see how they look on ya in here. There’s two available.”
She saw the lady at the front desk and told her that there were 4 garments, and gave Loki the card with the number on it. “Here Loki just keep this with ya, pick either one of those, kay? I’ll be right out here.”
She hoped this would not make him too uncomfortable. But it seemed like it would be good for him to try something new.
He shuffled awkwardly into one of the dressing rooms. Well, this was certainly different that having his royal robes made for him in his own chamber. He sighed softly and set the clothes down on the small bench in the corner of the small room.
Once he pulled on an outfit, he observed his reflection in the thin mirror. Perhaps it wasn’t all too bad…
“Loki, you doin’ alright in there?” Divine called, not paying attention to the few passers by startled by her raised voice. She had hoped that he was getting to like trying new things. He was quiet and she hoped he wasn’t going to hate her for this.
“Step out when you’re ready ok? I’ll be over here.”
He heard Divine’s (loud) questions, but did not answer, still gazing at his reflection and growing increasingly displeased by his appearance. Sighing deeply, he turned, eyeing the blue jeans, observing how they looked upon his figure. Mortal wear was awfully form-fitting… Perhaps a bit too much. The jeans revealed much of his shape, and it made him feel slightly uncomfortable. He was accustomed to long and formal clothing, and they oft hid his form. But this tough and navy-blue fabric seemed to call attention to his bottom, which was, in his eyes, horrendously shaped. He cringed inwardly. Was this what women had to suffer through?
Finally, he managed to bring himself to shuffle out, feeling terribly out of place. He felt like he was once again that awkward child, never spoken to and standing alone, apart from a crowd of his rambunctious peers.
Arching a brow and glancing over his shoulder as she cried out, he paused. “Are you certain you wish to walk in this rain?” He lifted his head to gaze at the canopy of leaves, seeing how the rain barreled through, falling in his eyes and causing him to blink furiously,…
“This weather can hardly affect me…” He looked on in concern as she spoke and sneezed every so often. She seemed to be still adjusting to her human form, and thus seemed very prone to injuries and illness, as he had seen. “Once we have reached the road, the city is to the west… But I fear you will arrive at your home in worse condition…”
“I shall never sit upon that beast,” he replied, tilting his head to the side as she fumbled on her words a bit. He looked on as she fought sleep, her eyelids drooping. “You shall rest in the guest chambers.” He gently took her by her wrist, pulling her toward the…
The god chuckled softly as her speech became like that of an inebriate or, more likely, a toddler unable of speaking clearly. Obeying her request, he stepped around to the empty side of the bed, slowly lowering himself down next to her. “I will stay for as long as you desire.”
“My Loki….” The words sounded like heaven as they rolled off her tongue. She turned her head and pressed kisses against the side of his face. ”Mine. Mine forever. I won’t let anyone take you,” she whispered, making a promise to herself as well as to…
“You know I love you… More than anything. I have repeated those words countless times, and it never seems enough…” He lifted his eyes towards his hand, which was still ensconced in her hair. “Cheryl, you have said that you were mine, but I wish that you would be truly mine… officially…”
“Oh, Claudia… I love you, too— more than anything, more than words can ever describe… I love you, and I won’t ever leave you… You are everything to me. What would I do without you, my treasure?” Slowly, he leaned forward and placed a kiss upon her brow, his hand going to…
“You needn’t say anything more, then, love.” She was gazing away from him, and he merely observed her, his fingers still touching her hair, thumb brushing over the soft petals of the flower. After a few moments, he pressed his lips to her cheek.
“I will never tire of hearing you say that you love me…” As she embraced him, his own arms snaked around her slight frame, pressing her closer. Her kisses were magnificent, setting his skin aflame. He felt the heat of her body against his, and he shivered as his own cold…
“I am well, darling. You need not worry….” He fell silent as she gazed into his eyes, her gentle hands holding his head, her fingers slightly pushed into his hair. As she kissed him, he nearly melted against her, closing his eyes and pushing all other thoughts that were cluttering his mind away.

“I am ever so willing to do this.” He smiled brightly, stepping over to her and gently cupping her cheeks. He brushed his lips over hers for a moment before trailing them down to her jaw, slowly pressing a line of kisses along her skin. When he reached her ear, he softly nipped her earlobe before pulling back, his smile ever present.
